Just had a second OCZ SSD failure in 18 months. It was on someone else s PC this time. I really have been shy of these things in spite of all the hype. When they fail-they just fail " no boot device". Hopeless. In 15 years of building PC's I have never lost a HDD like that. I don't know if the reliability of these thing is properly investigated.

I just get the feeling that reliability could be an issue. Sudden failure isn't clever. Personally as well I think the performance benefits are over hyped.

My ocz vertex 2e packed in after 15 months of use. Certainly do miss the speed though, currently using a mechanical drive until i get a replacement. System just feels so sluggish.
