Ok so i built a new rig and thought i would save a few quid on the SSD and just get a 30GB OCZ vertex and wait and see what happens with SSD's and SATA3 ect ect.

Anyways installed windows 7 and office 2010 went to put COD:MW2 on and not enough space :s

So what im looking at is the intel 160gb new G2's but wanna know a couple of things.

If i get 2 and raid them does that do away with the trim completely or will the windows 7 still maintain that...if so is it any good.

And secondly if you have any suggestions except if it to buy a mechanical drive to run games off, i have a server full of hard drives and want my gaming rig to be silent and SSD only please :)

Cheers

Just buy 1 Intel, you won't notice any real-world performance increase by RAID, only in benchmarks.

P.S. Your sig is too big.

right cheers guys and didnt realise the trim support firmware was pulled, when the trim support is re-released im guessing it wont work in raid still?

And i've made the sig smaller but its still bunching up :( on the preview it shows just 2 lines

Unless you watch out, a mod will helpfully point out too big for you by deleting everything you currently have, then you'll have to type it all out again :p
