Yea I tried the HDD and it lets me boot into that, but I have to change the thing from ACHI to IDE

Heres the AHCI setting

My HDD shows up under

'Hard drive BBS Priorities' and under 'Save & Exit' I can choose to 'Boot overide' with the hdd

Reinstalled Windows 8, not sure if MS have gave me the correct version though, installed a lot of stuff so far and restarted a couple of times and its fine except windows 8 keeps failing on a certain update..

Might just turn them off until SP1

EDIT:

Yea apparently my key can only be used on upgrade versions and not clean install.. yet when I installed it last time it accepted the key.. I hate Windows.

EDIT 2:

Incase someone finds this on google, this problem is rare it seems, a motherboard driver must have hurt my windows install or something, not sure how to boot safe mode windows 8 and the repair off the OS disc didn't find any errors so I ended up reinstalling windows 8 and my gfx card drivers, haven't installed mobo drivers incase it messes up again, installed windows updates, applied ssd tweaks and restarted multiple times without error
