Ok, I am unsure what to do with this issue.

I have a 60gig OCZ-Agility SSD and SSDLife is reporting the drive as having 8% health. I am really this is quite poor for a drive that is less than 8 months old?

This is my boot drive and was brand new when I installed it. It still has the 1.6 fireware on it since I have not looked into updating the fireware to 1.7 since I was assuming that would mean a reformat and reinstall of my PC?

Any one have any idea what to do? I am just wondering if its going to fail in the next month as it says on SSDlife then I really need to get it out and RMA it?
 
Ok, I contacted OCZ and they wanted me to run and post the results from there toolbox software so I downloaded the software and it wont pick up the drive. Anyone else had this issue?
 
I maybe totally wrong here but.....

1) Im sure you if update the firmware it might be more stable.

2) it says Estimated drive lifetime: 05/11/2020 to me that says its predicting it will last till 2020

Yeah It does say that on the web version of the output but on the screenshoot from SSDlife Pro its says

`Your drive health is in warning condiction - too many bad cells and projected lifetime are lower than one month! We suggest to replace`

So I was a little worried about the drive tbh since its my boot drive and I dont want to be without it is possible. I am just wondering if some Bios settings are wrong or something becuase the toolbox software from OCZ doesnt even detect the drive.
 
Currently in the process of getting some tech support from OCZ regarding this issue I dont just want the drive to fail on me if possible.
 
The drive looks in pretty bad shape to me, it's saying 8% health because you've used an average of 92% of the max erase cycles, what have you been doing to the poor drive?
 
I have no clue dave its my boot drive and my pc is almost never turned off. Its been installed since I got it about 8 months ago. Is there anything you could recommend I can check to see if its setup correctly. I am RMAing it to OCZ since that was I was told to do but anything i can do over the weekend to try and avoid that would be good since its my boot drive I dont really want to be without it.
 
I am using windows 7 64bit, Intel rapid storage tech is installed and reports the drive as working ok. I am not sure what else I have set up or how it all works with regards to SSD`s but am keen for this problem not to happen again of course.
 
I have contacted overclockers were I brought it and was told to check it with HDDtune which does say thats its in a warning state. I have absolutely not clue why the drive is like it is after only 8 months of use becuase apparently they should last for 5 years of constant operating system use on average and I read that was at 100gig a day of wrights and i dont do anything near that.
 
Data Read, GB is 3.6 - 73.7 - and 129.1 for Today, Yesturday and Last 7 days. Data Written is 3.5 - 20.2 and 51.5. I dont think that looks anything like to high? although i am sure data read should be much higher than written over time i`m sure which isnt the case for this drive for some reason.
 
Is this the only drive in the system?

How Much RAM do you have?

The only things that are springing to mind as to a possible cause is the pagefile and/or temp files.
 
not the only drive in the system as I have an extra 1tb for storage. I have 4gig of ram in this pc. Even the page file/temp files trashing the drive souldnt really kill the drive after 8 months? I suppose when I get the new drive I can move the page file and turn off system restore and see if that has any effect.
 
I meant to ask while on the subject if/when I return my SSD to OCZ for them to look at is there anyway to set up a temporary partition on a drive that has allready been formated. I will need to get some way of working with what I have and atm i think the only solution is to partition my existing storage drive so I can install an OS on it for the time when my SSD is away. Is there any software out there that will let me do that?
