SSD not detecting (most of the time)

Hi, first off I'm sorry if this has been answered. But I've wasted 2 evenings trying to sort this out.

I have bought the 60gb OCZ agility 3 from overclockers.
My mobo is a Gigabyte GA-M68M-S2P, with 4 SATA2 connectors. I have a IDE HDD with windows 7 installed and a SATA HDD.

My problem is, the SSD is only being detected in BIOS the first time it is plugged in. Once the pc is rebooted it is not detected again till I disconnect and reconnect it. But again it goes when rebooted.

The sata HDD always shows up.

It does show up in windows when it's been detected.

So far I have,
tried all 4 SATA ports.
Disconnected all other HDD's.
Updated my BIOS.
Cleared CMOS.
Reset bios to defaults.

I can't think right now what else I tried. But any suggestions are appreciated.

I downloaded the OCZ toolbox to update the SSD.
But the OCZ tool says theres 'no OCZ technology drives found!' even tho at that time i can see the SSD in My Computer.

However in the toolbox firmware guide it states - 2)The SATA controller must be set to AHCI mode in the bios to use OCZ Toolbox.
But i cannot find anthing in BIOS relating to AHCI modes.

Did you check the fw version through the toolbox to see if there's an update? It's possible your Motherboard doesn't have an AHCI mode (some boards don't) so you could try using a friends PC to do the update. It's worth a shot as after that I would be looking to RMA the drive.

Yeah there is an update available. Unfortunatley, i dont know anyone locally who has a newer pc than me.

tried a different cable?
Yeah. I have 2 SATA cables. And both work with my SATA HDD.

Put the SSD on the first SATA port and everything else on the last ports so the SSD is on it's own controller. If it still happens then RMA it.
