I got the 870 Evo back in while waiting for spuds to boil for a cottage pie. Detected in BIOS and got it setup as one volume for extra storage. S.M.A.R.T data looks like it has been power cycled a few m9re times since I sent it off, not sure if much if any data was written.
Oddly Samsung Magician can see it fine but no longer recognises it the benchmark tab.
I will keep it in and maybe just copy a chunk of data onto it and see what happens over the next week or so and whether or not it starts disappearing again. I wonder if they just rewrote the firmware or it their system detected it, so they just wiped after running a diagnostic?
