If it works out cheaper then go ahead. Just make sure you're using the two red native Intel SATA 3 controlled ports for both drives. Annoyingly though, Asus decided to colour the crappy Marvell controlled red as well, so you will need to check your motherboard manual which ports are what.

RAID is controlled by the BIOS anyway, so for the RAID packs you will have to set it up yourself. If you're not planning to RAID then just leave the BIOS option to AHCI.

Call me blind but I can't see the RAID packs on OcUK anymore?

EDIT: Found them, they was in another section silly me . It's about £20 cheaper so go for it!

ok thanks for the advice, will order them now, wasnt sure if they were set up in RAID on the drives themselves

That was last gen drives, i would say the intel drives of this gen have failed a lot more, especially with the firmware troubles intel have had.

The smart man uses intel ssd because of their low fail rate.

I was talking about the Intel 320 series which dont use the marvell controller btw.
