SSD RAID0 Help!

Unless its different for SSD's RAID 0 on a motherboard controller does not usually give double the speed of a single drive, I'd say your results are about right /shrug

I wasn't expecting double! They're supposed to hit these speeds individually and I was expecting around 950mb/s top mark for read (only care for read really -until my broadband hits 1gb/s :))

- Sequential Read: 520MB/s
- Sequential Write: 400MB/s

So going by that they seem fairly right on for seq speeds, but they seem to be struggling with the other tests, just wondering if I'm making the most out of them, want to make sure they're doing as good as they should before I start using them.

Like, should I be using strip size 4k? It's giving me best results in bench but will it affect actual performance?

Its a long time since I set up raid0 SSDs but I think it used to be recommended to use the largest strip size for performance, 128k I think it was.

Are you sure you did every right first time round. I notice your figures for 4k and 32k strip are about the same.

Moved my programs folder over last night, seeing a massive amount of space used on the SSD, is this due to strip size?

Nvm, was comparing bytes to GB.

Anyhow, I'm about to change drive letters, wish me luck!
