SSD Showing as USB?

So, having just installed a SSD for the first time and whilst going through a clean install I've noticed that the SSD is showing up as a USB and I have the option to "Eject" it.

Should it be appearing as a USB, I mean, is this normal?

If not, what do I do to remove it from there so I don't inadvertently "Eject" it?

The drive policy might be set wrong, have a look in device manager--> disk drives --> [drive] --> properties and turn Write-caching on.

Wouldn't worry too much, GPU's are starting to appear in the 'eject' list from time to time these days.

My SSDs appear under the "safely remove hardware" option.

I have 2 x 850s on windows 7 and they are both under there, i think its for hot swapping options supported by ACHI, nothing to worry about.
