SSD Temps

Hi

I have recently got one of these SSD Drives OCZ 32GB Onyx. I am trying to find out the temps that the drive is operating at, so far I have tried HD Tune, Crystal Disk Info and HWMonitor none of these programs are displaying the temps for the SSD drive. Does anyone know of any other software I can use?

CPUID's HWmonitor reads my Vertex 2 60GB so i dont know why its not working with yours?

you have the latest SSD firmware?

I have checked again and HWMonitor is only displaying the temps for the other drives. The SSD drive is running v1.6 Firmware.

Hi

Just to confirm this is what Hardware Monitor is currently displaying. Anymore ideas as to why its not showing the SSD Temps?

I didn't think ssd's had temp sensors, mine doesn't.

I use Open Hardware Monitor which displays a temp reading for my OCZ Vertex SSD so you could try that instead perhaps. If it still doesn't show then I can only think OCZ didn't include a means of monitoring temps on the Onyx drives.

Aida4 shows the temp of my OCZ Vertex SSD. Sits around 30c usually.

As far as I'm aware, they don't need temp sensors, they're designed with being inside a laptop in mind so they don't mind being in enclosed, warm spaces.

Temperature is definatly not an issue with SSDs
