Thinking about replacing my 120GB OCZ SSD as i've only got 20gb left on it. Only thing installed on there is windows and office etc. All my games and media are stored on separate drives.
Do you think it's worth upgrading to a 200+gb drive. Only looking to spend £100- £120 on the drive.
Recommendations wanted :)
 
I think I've got Office 2013 professional and adobe design and web premium cs6 on it. At work at the moment so can't check.

there is no way those programs are taking up 100GB of SSD space.

I have a 60GB one in my sons PC with Win 8.1, Office, steam, origin, few games and its still got about 20GB spare.
 
Turn off System Restore, or delete old points, that will clear a ton of space.

Also, run this..

It will remove temp files, maybe check the options before blindly running it as it clears out internet passwords too.

Also, use Treesize to see where the space is being used up.

You could also try running Disk Cleanup as admin to see if there's any files lurking in the Windows update cleanup, I freed up 8GB or something on my PC by doing that.
 
All sorted. Love the Treesize program. Main problem was W7 selecting 16GB of page files so reduced down to 2 GB as I'm sure my 16gb of ram is more than enough, 5gb fiancée iphone backup which i removed and 11GB was hiberfi.sys which I've disabled.

Just left with 27gb in windows, 8 in program files (x86), 7GB Users, 6gb Program files, 4gb Program data

Now have 66GB free from 111.

Wow so glad i came across this thread ive just saved so much space on my SSD im shocked at how much rubbish was on there :o

I had around 9gb of nvidia files for example :o

Time for a big clean up me thinks :D

Well i now have 73gb free where as before i had only 38 left lol.
