SSD weirdness

Bought a Corsair Force 3 120GB SSD and am having some issues.

The drive is seen in the BIOS, which is a start.

When i try and install a fresh copy of W7 on there, W7 fails to see the drive. Have tried it on each different controller and it still does not show up.

When i boot into windows and try to format the drive in Partition Manager, it shows as having 223.58 GB of unallocated space and fails with an error saying 'There are some error while writing partition chains in disk'

If i open the Intel Rapid Storage Tech boodery whatsit, it shows in there as a 112 GB drive (what i was expecting).

Is there something really obvious i am missing here, or is there something up with the drive?

edit: just noticed that if i use Disk Manager in Windows, it is showing as Disk0, Unknown, 223.58 GB, Not Initiallised and the properties on it show it as Corsair RAID........

PLEASE DELETE THE THREAD - have sorted it out. Turns out is was the Intel Rapid Storage that was messing it all up. Just about to do a fresh install of Windows on it now.
