im thinking about buying a SSD this weekend but havent a clue what one to get?
ive done a fair bit of research and i dont want one that has firmware issues
Im looking at the 128GB capacity and my budget is around the £230 mark.

Crucial isn't best specs, the Intel would be better and some of the OCZs are slightly better optimised. But in terms of all round performance v value the Crucial is the best. If you want to blow your budget on the best performance then an 80gb Intel is the way to go.

The firmware issues are not too critical. Intel have updated their firmware and new drives should have it. Crucial and OCZ have had problems with a recent firmware but at least for the Crucial drives they haven't shipped any with that firmware.

Agreed. The crucial currently is the best value drive, and is very fast. The intel is probably the best performer overall though.
