SSHD help

to be honest I have never used a SSHD.

I tried to do a quick search for a review on one but didn't found any.

on newegg I found the drive for sale with customer reviews on so might be worth a look on there to have a read.

not too sure if I can link it or not as it being a competitor so I have left it out, sorry

They are rubbish, don't bother.

The closest things you can get, though not a true hybrid drive (which is why it is not rubbish) is the;

YOUR BASKET
1 x Western Digital Black2 120GB SSD + 1TB HDD SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - Retail (WD1001X06XDTL) HDD £169.99
Total : £179.59 (includes shipping : £8.00).

but at that price it is only good for laptops, as if you have the room in a desktop just getting a sseperate SSD and HD will either cost less or you get more for your money.

My advice is, spend as much as your budget is on the largest SSD you can. Carry on using your old drives too.

An SSD is much better than an SSHD.
But the price for large storage ssd's is still way too expensive, you can purchase a 1tb sata for less than 42 quid but i suppose it depends on what you would use it for mainly?. A small low cost SSD for operating system and a 1tb for games is one of the cheapest way to go about things, some say that gaming for example is not that much slower on a standard mechanical hdd in the real world scenario, i couldn't tell much difference when i tried some time ago when ssd's were really really expensive even for a 60 gb ssd. If money is no worries then the cost is not a factor.
