Hi guys. Got my basket together just pondering my hdd choices. I outright cannot afford an ssd and hdd combo even at b grade so i was looking at the seagate sshd alternative. My question is will the seagate 750gb sshd 6 gb/s 7200 rpm be a suitable alternative? The pricing is in budget however it states laptop in the description quite a lot and i cant seem to finf the 3.5 alternatavie seagate have brought out. Will thr laptop variant make and difference at all? Is this a fine compromise for meet in the middle performance?
Cheers all.

No reply from storage sub forums so though id try my luck here.

What's your budget and what do you have in your basket so far? If you can't afford both then maybe get a HDD first, and then buy an SSD later on.

Thanks for the reply guys. Im looking at about £80 at the very maximum. I dont need super storage prob a 1 tera max because i just delete uneeded items. I hear the save up until i can afford quote but im ready to take the plunge asap. I have 750 seagate sshd in the basket at the mo but as one poster said better to wait till i can afford the ssd hdd combo. Im at abit of a loose end here.

Well, what's your overall budget for your build and what parts have you picked so far? Could maybe trim down other parts to squeeze in an SSD if you really want one.
