the CS3's are branded a summer tyre are they not?

I believe they, like many of the premium ranges, are branded 'summer' tyres for countries where the change in season has more of an impact and 'winter' tyres are needed, but perfectly acceptable for year-round usage in our climate.

In short, you should be fine to keep whatever you choose on the ST for the whole year. And if it snows like it did last year - buy some chains if you absolutely have to drive.

All 'summer' tyres will be worse in wintry conditions and useless in the snow.

I've had the F1 Asyms, PS2s and at the mo have PS3s and for me the F1s went from live to dead the quickest.

Might give the CS3s a go now that Fox recommends them when the PS3s are gone which looks to be soon.

SC3s replaced the SC2s, so the main difference is that they're better

The CS2s are the older model, the CS3s are the newer model.

Therefore it would be more sensible to buy the newer model.

But you are absolutely right, I am not a tyre expert. None of us are.
