It doesn't use ray reconstruction, in fact the game doesn't use any ray tracing beyond software lumen, so none of the nvidia side of things actually work with it.Not played this game much at all, finally getting around to looking at it. I'm using all the latest DLSS DLL files (upscaling, frame gen and ray reconstruction) and I've manually put them in the appropriate location to be sure. Here:
.......\Engine\Plugins\Marketplace\DLSS\Binaries\ThirdParty\Win64
However, with ray reconstruction turned on in game I'm getting ******* awful refections in puddles that look like a child's impressionist painting, and then it will often have weird flashing small squares around the edges of puddles and on windows etc. What gives? Using latest patch too by the way as of yesterday.
Also, ray reconstruction keeps turning itself back on if I disable it. What on earth is going on?
The reflections is a software lumen issue, there's no fix for it at present except for ini tweaks that only seem to result in compromises elsewhere.
It is definitely one of the game's weaker graphical aspects. I sometimes wish I could turn them off altogether. They're awful even on epic setting.
