Stalker 2

DLL swapping is not needed any more if you use the global profile inspector method as the NV driver injects the latest dll into the game when DLSS is called by the game and the latest preset is then applied to which will is now Preset K. you only need to change 5 toggles in profile inspector for this to work and only needs to be done once after a new NV driver is installed.

Even if the game is using a version of dlss older than 3.10???

You'll have to try that as I don't have any games installed that are using an older version of dlss :p

In theory any game that uses DLSS 2+ would get the latest dll injection using this method.

This is all really good general info for the newer Nvidia drivers etc. Shame there isn't a sticky somewhere (that I could find) in the gfx card section or something, and the PC gaming section too.

and this too of course

I find NVApp quite poor at the moment, and will uninstall it when I install the new drivers.

I use DLSS Swapper to change the DLLS files, you can add games manually if it doesn't find them after scanning.

Use Nvidia Profile Inspector 2.4.2.3 and enable Preset K under the global profile (DLSS 3.1+ Presets) so it applies to all games that use it.

This!

Make sure to use the revamped version of profile inspector too, much nicer than the stock/default one:

The app over-rides everything else as far as I'm aware
If you use a different method just set the app to application controlled

Stalkers!

As always, by listening to your feedback here on Steam and other social media, we prepared Patch 1.2.1. It is dedicated mostly to fixing crashes, including those on loading save files. Here is the list of changes:

  • Fixed one of the crashes on loading save files related to AI logic.
  • Fixed one of the crashes on loading save files that were recorded when player had effects applied.
  • Fixed a few crashes related to lightning ball anomaly interaction with artifacts.
  • Fixed crash mostly occurred when moving away from hubs and during the Emission.

Thanks for staying with the Zone and making it a better place. We continue working on the game and implement improvements based on your comments and feedback. If you spot an anomaly, that is not supposed to be in the Zone, please, report it to our colleagues at Technical Support Hub. That will help us spot and investigate potential issues, and deal with them as fast as possible.

I had the latest patch download yesterday but did notice a second, smaller update today.

A few observations from a couple of hours play since the most recent patch:
Earlier, I encountered a solitary zombie, and even at quite close range it took 10 rounds (most to the head) from a saiga.
I also saw several examples where other stalkers casually walked into anomalies and died, or didn't react in some combat situations, though I think I recall seeing that happen before the most recent patch.

Sill enjoying it quite a lot, but the amount of loot available seems way too much to me.
The odd setting in the graphics options seems to reset itself to 'epic', even when I manually have adjusted it to low or medium, e.g. hair, though, again, that was something I noticed a while back.

So for the people that have played KCD2 is this game similar in that it is more of a sim?

Because I am struggling with the grind of KCD2.

Stalkers a grind at start (always was) but the grind on KCD2 is on another level in my eyes but both games not meant for instant gratification....
