There's a bug that Nvidia DLSS with AMD FG causes constant crashes, played a good couple of hours without a crash now it's off.Thanks for that Minstadave, pretty sure it's turned on. Will give it a go.
I don't know about anyone else, but on 2 or 3 occasions now, the game locks-up up for me.
Thankfully, it tends to happen quite rarely, and seems to occur when either bringing up the PDA or going into a menu.
The only way to escape it seems to be a system restart.

Nah, Played close to 80hrs now, not seen any crashes or in the last 50 or so of them.
I still see frequent FPS drops, where it will just tank to single figures, CPU Utilisation falls off a cliff from 80-90% to mid 20's for what seems to be little to no obvious reason. requires tabbing out & in or a save & reload to kick start it again.

I'll probably wait a while before getting into the game, just tested it a little....

Seems to utilise the CPU ok, the GPU at 4k being maxed out.
That will probably change, performance, when I decide to play more and as the game unfolds.

seems to be about 60-140fps on a 4090.
in towns the fps dives a bit but there's not much going on in them anyway.
I ended up just turning frame fen off and capping the fps to 60 on my run though :/
The game's still kinda fun but needs a few more patches minimum

87 hours in now
Did experience a crash in one section in the north of wild island where it was raining and a burer was attacking me that caused some kind of audio glitch
I had to force quit the game, reloaded and it happened again, third attempt - I ran off a few meters and didnt have a problem again, came back to that location later on and it was fine

Thanks.
As noted, I'm happy enough to sit this one out for a while. I'll wait for a few more patches and work on the back burner of games that I have still waiting to be played

What difficulty are you on?
honestly the longer barrelled shotguns with slugs are pretty accurate from distance and a lot of the ARs can be too in single fire mode
I'm on whatever the middle setting is called.

Same here. Best to not get spotted (torch off, crouch etc) but yeah if they see you then you need to run for cover lol.
Try the double barrelled shotty with slugs yourself. It's pretty good. Also single fire mode on assault rifles from distance is pretty accurate. In the older games it was way harder to land a shot.... the accuracy was all over the place

The loot music started me off... Starfield was horrendous for that with useless crap everywhere to be picked up

Played a big chuck yesterday. The SIRCAA segment went on for a bit. Kept getting caught in an emission shortly after and the quest marker kept taking me to somewhere that didn’t provide shelter. Finally have an exoskeleton and 4 lead pockets, so I’m basically a bulletsponge now. Not a moment too soon! The game world is tougher now.
