Hi guys, is there a way for me to get this mod working with call of pripyat? If not are there any other mods? I already have the atmosfear mod installed. Thanks for your help :)

Ah cool, no worries, just started playing shadow of chernobyl, as I never completed it. Got the complete mod on and it looks stunning. Was never a fan of the way it looked before. I'll finish this then move on to pripyat. Hopefully it'll be out by then.

I recently start SoC again after buying it when it first came out and then selling it when I didn't enjoy it (think it was also down to poor graphics performance back then). I bought it on Steam again when it was cheap before Christmas and installed the 2009 mod and am enjoying it now. I find it quite difficult though even on the easy level - sometimes I die with just a couple of hits. Not sure where in the game I am, but just came saw the first mind bender and got stuck for hours completing the section where you come out of the tunnel and have to get some docs from building. I completed that then came out of the building and all was fine, then I died. Now I can't even get clear of the building because since dying, when the level loads a helicopter I think has dropped of loads of guys outside (weren't there before dying ) :D

I want to get Call of Pripyat next once SoC completed (estimated completion July as I don't play often) and think I'd like to play CoP without any mods first and then with.

Yeh thats the bit I'm on too, I 've died 3 times on that part. As soon as I leave the building I get shot to pieces!! :(

It's do-able if you have the right weapons and are quick to head-shot them ;)

I just completed that area (the Agroprom Facility) on Veteran after only a few tries - fewer than I thought it would take actually!

Am not at Yantar but am going to go rescue the captive Duty member and get the other set of docs from the Dark Valley place (that X-18 lab scared the crap out of me last time :o)

Bit of a ressurection but it saves making a new thread on it.

I'm not looking for a graphics mod as i'm pretty sure this pc can't handle it (i'm running Red Faction Guerilla at 800x600 resolution for christ sake!). With that in mind is it worth getting the Complete 09 mod or should i go for Oblivion Lost instead? I've never really seen any mention of OL but it seems more focused on gameplay not graphics whereas Complete is both.

STALKER Complete is great, it also adds some gameplay elements like being able to repair your stuff at a trader, find repair kits on dead bodies etc..

There are also a lot less bugs and in about 20 hours of play I had only one shutdown when I tried to befriend the Duty faction thru a speech option.

Complete is great and doesn't alter the game that much except for visuals and my god, there are some areas which take your breath away now. Being able to teleport between areas is great though as stops you having to walk through the boring bits for the 10th time that day (if you want)

Oblivion Lost changes the game radically with non spawning monters, baddies, better weapons and new weapons and random events. Plus you don't finish the game ever and then can just wander around to your heart's content for as long as you want.

It was advised to me as a first timer to play with the complete mod and then replay it as Oblivion Lost as it is more hardcore and much harder.

Not a first timer, its just been quite a while since i played the original. Reinstalling it on my gfs computer which, shall we say, isn't brilliant, just to give myself something to play. Its description did make it out be quite a big graphics mod more than gameplay mod and i'd probably have to lower graphics severely anyway.

Sounds like OL might be a better choice, thing is i've already dl'd the Complete Mod so i'd probably give that a try first, only thing i'm concerned about is whether uninstalling it and using OL later would be a problem as i don't want to have to dl half the game files again.

How do you teleport?

I've tried hitting escape and then T, but once I've selected my destination and gone back to the game I get the countdown notification but nothing happens.

Install the Vanilla game, after that make a copy of the install folder and leave that untouched, after you played Complete 2009 delete the game folder and rename the copied folder to the default folder name ;)

Well that is 1 way of doing it >< Seems to run ok on medium settings, just wondering if Complete or Oblivion Lost would be better for gameplay tweaks. I'll have a closer look at the 2.

Anyone know when the complete mod will be ready for COP? Ive seen it could be end of the Summer, but does anyone know anything more specific?

I bought COP last week but I don't want to play it without the complete mod as I'm not one to re-play a game until a few years later. Having played both the first 2 games with the complete mod I figure I should do the same with COP.

I have played with both and I'd wholeheartedly recommend OL over complete. Given the choice of complete's graphics or OL's gameplay OL wins hands-down as I have given up playing with better graphics but I couldn't imagine playing without OL's improved gameplay.

(Make sure to get OL 2.2)

I couldn't get along with OL at all. The dot instead of a crosshair was too difficult to aim with for me and I didn't like how every gun I picked up was almost broken.
