STALKER Complete 2009 mod

Hey guys, finally got around to playing this for the first time and with the mod. I just killed my first bandit, but, i can't loot the body!

I changed my key config so that 'left shift' is my use button. It says that I need to press shift to loot the body, but instead it picks the body up! It also has the conflicting option to pick the body up using 'Shift + shift' ?!

A few other bits of info and controls seem wrong too, any idea how i can fix it? :(

Put use back to F? Shift drags bodies so you have a conflict.
 
Grr, does the steam game not allow certain mods? Just installed a couple of the ones arknor mentioned above for COP and get a CTD. Happened before when I installed one for CS. Seems to be only the complete mod that works for me.

Annoying thing is I forgot to backup the gamedata folder :o.
 
I also recently installed SSOC and blinged it with the 2009 mod with fantastic results. The guys behind this deserve a medal.

BTW does anyone know a mod where u can increase the wildlife? Like those mutant boar creatures...would be wikkid if we could have more of them. ES Oblivion had a cool willdlife mod hat increased the creature count. Anything similar for SSOC? Couldnt find anything on the mod sites.

If you want a laugh download one of the early versions of Faiakes Mod. One of them had a bug with monster spawning such that whenever you loaded a save it spawned whatever monsters were on the level twice, everytime. So if you loaded, saved, loaded, saved,etc, everytime the number of monsters would double. Before I ditched this obvious game breaking mod and went to OL, I had some fun running away from a pack of about 60 mutant dogs on the first map, got them all back to the farm and jumped on top of one of the buildings and there was a seething mass of mutants below all trying to get me. Then went about nading them. Was pretty funny, but obviously made the mod completely unplayable.
 
Damn those Controllers are evil when you meet em in the open. The 1 in Agroprom wasn't that bad, but i decided to take a look at the 1 that was attacking the Freedom base in Army Warehouses and never mind it ****ing with the characters head it was doing it with mine too.
Double vision when i started to close in on it and a high pitched ringing in my ears (with headphones) followed by seriously screwed up vision when it started to attack me. All i could do was run away and watch as it wandered off, completely unable to shoot because of the 2 images passing randomly across each other.

if u installed the realistic weapons mod the knife is broken theres a folder with all the weapon configs i think its
E:\Program Files\GAMES\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Call of Pripyat\gamedata\weapons ?

or something like that the mod creates just delete the knife one.

the game creates a decent log file aswell at C:\Users\Public\Documents\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Call of Pripyat\logs you can use to narrow down what is broken the realistic weapons one if the only mod to cause me any issues so far the game just crashed at the end of loading because of the knife script beeing bugged.

i got rid of the nature , structures mods though game runs a lot better without them and doesnt really look any different imo

Don't you just love artifact recipe's to create more powerful ones. I think 10 slots is just over doing it a little...

But anyway, it seems if i didn't have 120% bullet resistance i would've been torn to pieces on the way to the NPP about a zillion times. It got even worse when i got inside the Sarcophagus only to have my vision occasionally screwed up the whole way by a Controller at the end of the map meaning i was even more royally ****ed. Oh and did i mention the random grenades, RPGs and vehicle mounted cannons that were all 1 hit kills on the way?

It is a shame about the endings. The moment you head into Red Forest to turn off the Brain Scorcher and the Monolith get involved it starts to go downhill. You wind up progressing from 1 fight to the next, all the way down into the base, then all the way back out, and before you know it you've wound up fighting almost non stop all the way to the Wishgranter.

Anyway, thinking of starting again but restricting myself from using Rifles. I spent most of the last game walking around with the AK74 Rapid and HG both modded with a scope, silencer and grenade launcher and a Druganov SVD then SVU. The ability to headshot everything or just spray them up the chest from any range made things a bit trivial. Though most of the Pistols in game suck, especially early on.

Is the artifact creator a mod?

Its part of Oblivion Lost. You get 'recipes' which basically mean, what artifact you create it from, what anomaly you put it in to get it and how long you need to sleep till its done. You can't create them until you get the recipe, course the pacing of the game isn't exactly linear so apart from the ones that require you to enter the quest labs so there isn't much to stop you picking em up early, though you'd still need to find the initial artifact or hope you find 1 on a corpse (since enemies have modded ones too). Theres about 3 or 4 stages to each mod set and only about 6 different ones though some, like the Elder Glassbeads (Mama's, Old, Ancient, Elder) are obviously a lot better than others (Droplets, Electric, Fire, Chimera) which is gained from doing X16 and is really quite poor by comparison.

I had been writing down all the stats for them, mostly so i could keep track of em without having to read the entries, only ones i'm missing are a Soul set because Lukash didn't seem to have them on his corpse for some reason and Moonlight-->Sunlight because it just didn't seem to work.

The unbalance is mostly just because of the 10 artifact limit...
 
Ahh, I have Complete 2009 and not Oblivion Lost.

I do have the same annoyances though, I have just entered the Red Forest and get killed a lot now, one Monolith I missed and I'm dead, even at easy :confused:
 
Yes, but I am beginning to think that they spawn sometimes.

Nah its probably just 1 you missed who was hiding. I only recall 2 points that have a serious problem with spawning, the first transition to Garbage from Cordon and the Garbage to Agroprom. Bandits occasionally seem to spawn in plain sight, all other transition enemies wander in from distance... which has its issues, the Wild Territory to Bar transition has so many corpses behind the 'move' point >< Though these all might only be a problem in OL and not the vanilla game.

Anyway, things seem to be going ok on my 'no rifles' game. Definitely trickier since i can't just drop enemies from all ranges with a burst of bullets, my 'TOZ' hunting shotgun with Dart ammo is proving very effective at maybe upto 75m (the 100/150 on slugs and darts always seems utter bs...)

If I use the Stalker complete 2009 for SoC can I use the weather overhaul mod at the same time ? And is that a good addition to the vanilla game ?

Out of all 3 stalker games which one is considerd the best to play and with which mods ?

Love this type of game but like to play through once with the best exsperience I can get :)

Haha! I shall definetly check this out, sounds like a laugh. I like the mutant creatures in Stalker even though their AI seems to keep them off the roads. I dont like those funny flat-faced man-pig things though!

Personaly for me clear sky + complete is the best of the lot.

not a huge fan of the first myself.
 
Just played SoC + complete mod after playing clear sky + complete mod and i think much like tefal clear sky was the best of the lot, cop was good and less bugs but it felt lacking somehow on the last 3rd of the game.
Still love the atmosphere all these games give you though.

I love games like this where you can load up the files in Notepad (like the weapons files for example) and then start having some fun mruahahaa.

Like giving the AK74 an RPM of 2000....you got yourself a wannabe minigun ahahaha. Of course you gotta mod the mag capacity to 2000 or something too heh.
