Lots of people saying the padding has gone. Not had experience of that as far as I can tell. Wonder if it's worth re-upholstering them with some new / improved cushioning beneath the fabric?

That's one of those "nobody ever pays more than 50% of that retail price, ever" retail prices.

4.5 years later and it's still serving me well:

£99...wow. I still have the same chair from the op and at that price, I'm tempted to do a straight replacement as the seat is pretty thin now and I cbf reupholstering it etc.

I still have mine from the op ten years ago. No holes or broken mechanisms yet.

The padding obviously isn't as good anymore, but it's still better than most of these hilariously priced jobs.

But it's creaking a bit (literally) and now slightly lists to the right :/.

Can't find anything that looks as good though.

Mine is still going strong, got a new gas lift for it and I'm super-happy at not having to fork out for a new chair

Where / what / how did you do that?

Have you (or anyone) replaced the padding in the seat?
