There was still some remnants even in first contact so wouldn't really be a shocker.
the actor that played "will rykar" is directing 2 episode's and other have stated that the other tng cast won't be in it, that doesn't mean they won't for second season.will Ryker ?
I'm hoping that some of the stuff coming out of comic con today means that the aesthetics of the show will be 100% in line with what TNG Series and the TOS movies did. Sounds like they have set something up in the style of a little history tour of the life of Picard up to the show starting & they have the correct uniforms on display, un molested ship models & references to events leading up to the new series.

I reckon the woman referring to the enemy is the borg queen, classic Picard V Borg going down, but with super high steaks, brilliant, can't wait - Data's the only character in the past 50 years of TV and films younger versions make sense, well, him and Arnie in the Terminator films.
