Star Wars: Skeleton Crew (Disney+)

I really hate how they portray x wings doing hairpin, hand break turns. Just doesn't sit with me .

B5 starfury sure but not X wing.

Let's not talk about the silliness of lightsabers and everything else in the universe lol.

But yeah it's one of them things that makes me cringe a little, the furies turned on a penny and were designed with that in mind during the shows making, x wings not so much.

But then again they are flying inside the atmosphere so will behave differently?

I find this ‘ok’ - I have it on in the background whilst building a new PC/doing finishing touches in office refresh. I don’t think I could watch it all giving my 100% attention.

I enjoyed watched all episodes of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew.

I am shocked and saddened to read Star Wars: Skeleton Crew cost $136 million budget had the lowest viewing ratings of all Star Wars TV series, viewers figures are far lower than Star Wars: The Acolyte. :(

What on earth matter with Star Wars rebel scums refused to watched Star Wars: The Acolyte and did the same with Star Wars: Skeleton Crew?

I, my sister, her partner and my niece all loved watched all episodes of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew and Star Wars: The Acolyte. Both TV shows wont get 2nd season, Star Wars fans killed both series by refused to watched it.

Final episode felt rushed but was alright.

Viewing numbers will get stronger due to word of mouth but StarWars is damaged goods.

Didn't think much of the final episode but I am glad it ended there. Overall a good show for once.

Jude Law looked like he was having the time of his life throughout.

Was this post written by a droid?

I thought it was watchable, a bit too childish, pretty much the same as all the others imo. Mando S1&2 have been the best so far, after that it's all much of a muchness.

Not particularly a fan of Jude Law either and his character got on my wick tbh.

I would rate this 6/10. Slightly above the Acolyte but below everything else. It was watchable but the ending was dull and thankfully didn't leave it open to a 2nd series.

Absolutely this.

I wasn't going to give it a chance, a friend of mine convinced me to but after The Acolyte, BoBF and Ahsoka I was close to done, and I only say close because I still intended to watch Andor season 2.

Zero interest in any of the future movie projects at that, especially given they decided to continue with the horrendous Rey story arc. Star Wars is no longer a draw for many, it's been money mixed with faeces getting flung at a wall more often than not for a long time.

As a near 40 year old I'm not a Star Wars nerd, nor the target audience for this series. That said, my 6 year old kept coming home from school talking about R2D2 and other Star Wars characters so we've watched through Skeleton Crew together.

It was a gamble as it's aimed at 12 year olds, however he's not effected by the sinister side of these things and just gets sucked into the world and characters then plays out his own fantasies as if he was there himself. He was gripped throughout and I could see the anticipation and thrill of what's to come followed by genuine laughter from the lighter moments. Whilst I made a point of explaining and checking he knew & understood what was going on along the way, it was great going on that ride with him.

It did end a bit abruptly though. I feel like they use series like this to experiment on the audience and what works per episode. There's so much more to explore the world they've built, another two episodes would have done well to gently tie up some sub-plot whilst still leaving it open for another season, but I think these days they need a memorable crescendo to tie up the story in the likelihood the next season doesn't happen.

Does feel like that at times - I kind of wish they'd had settled either on a family oriented series or gone a bit darker and more adult rather than it hopping around as it did. Would have liked to see a few things tightened up though - while it is always a bit subjective in a sci-fi and/or fantasy setting occasionally things just too much defy belief, etc. and some of the "alien" characters were too closely based on our contemporary animals and/or the pirate theme a bit too specific to 17th/18th century earth pirates, etc. when they could have been a bit more imaginative.

There was a lot of things they nailed though - Jude Law with force abilities in an adventure/exploration setting would work really well as a series if done right navigating the seedier sides of the universe and the Jedi lore, etc.

If anything its even more unlikely because you have aerodynamic stress forces to deal with in space you only have mass inertia

This was a nice/fun show but one thing kinda bugged me - seems like a possible plot issue - they get the coordinates for some other special planet At-whatever it was called, find it's a wreck inhabited by two warring sides and then they get into the supervisor's tower only to find that the famous pirate guy & the robot destroyed the coordinates to At Attin... but it seems to have coordinates not just to At Attin but to the other special planets too - odd they didn't try to head to one of those instead?

I mean is it implied that he's been to all of them or are some of those other special planets left unknown for future series? I mean At Attin and these special planets being a thing is new/introduced in this series right?

I guess Jude Law's character is still set up for a bad guy but still some good in him/potential Jedi but didn't have the guidance etc.. in a future season.

Fun enough, liked Jude Law - Octavia from Rome pops up in all sorts these days.

The Governor or whatever it's called wasn't the smartest inviting a clear threat into his control room with just a few droids for protection.

For a hidden planet with that much gold/credits for a stranger to just walk in was just soo stupid.
