Star Wars: The Sequel

I would be overjoyed. I've always wanted them to make films of the other 3 long-rumoured stories (7, 8 and 9).

I'm one of those that thinks the new trilogy isn't all that bad. It's not on par with the original trilogy, but they're watchable (Episode 1 is borderline), and add a lot to Star Wars fiction.

Anything that adds to the lore is a win in my book. :)

I doubt I'd even watch anything after Jedi. I watched Episode 1 at the cinema, Episode 2 on DVD, and I think I watched Episode 3 in passing when it was on the TV.

I honestly couldn't give a **** for anything more that Lucas puts out.

If you think about it, the Star Wars films are about the rise, fall and redemption of Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader.

Without Vader or Palpatine who do you cast as the bad guy?

There's a hole host of bad guys in the expanded universe from an entire world of sith, to invading species from a different galaxy and everything in between.

which doesn't make sense when you read the radical changes in the plot that happened in each move as it was written.

if it had been all one story such changes wouldn't have made sense, and the final story would be nothing like the full "original".

I completely agree, i think this just shows how much rewriting Lucas has done over the years once he realised it was making money. He has always stood by the 'one big rough draft' story though, instead of the '9 parts' tale everyone hopes is true.
