Also just wondering if it'd be ok if 2 or 3 of my mates join me on it? We're trying to find a decent server that we can all play on and is stable.

Looks like it was. I've brought it back up now.

If there's any instability with the server it is purely down to the Starbound software itself. All the other applications running on the dedi are rock solid stable unless the application itself has some issues.

I always keep an eye on here/linktart so you can let me know if the server does go down and I'll restart it.

I am waiting atm there is an update in the works that will change the way combat works and also make our ships upgradable so I am waiting on this before realy getting started on it

I think steam and their website is the only place you can get it at the moment. Might be cheaper buying a multi pack.

I've been waiting for the big update for this, I've read the dev blog from time to time so I know that they've been busy adding lots to the game.

I only just got round to actually watching the trailer. It looks better than I imagined to be honest

Are they still wiping characters every other week in this? Also is there any date for when this might be released?

I have had it on early access since last year and I grew very bored of the constant wiping and restarting then. I haven't touched it since.

Same, haven't touched it for ages. Wasn't the wiping that bugged me, just the fact that there wasn't all that much to do. Sure there are thousands of worlds, but they were fundamentally all the same.

I actually found more variety of gameplay in Terraria. And that had only 4 (5?) biomes when I played it.
