I could have sworn that in the last few seconds of that episode I saw the other earth ship get destroyed, my mum thought she saw it too.

I was expecting some kind of time travel device, they have already alluded to it with the Merlin aging backwards thing, plus we know the ancients had them.

The writers said they did not want to do a cross over between sg1 and atlantis.... which is sad as i would have liked to of seen what 2 wraith hive ships with a shed load of darts would do against 1 Ori ship or even better the Orion Class Ship ... But Did you see the size of the Ori ships the Asgard ship is like 4 or 5x the size of a Deadalous class model and compared to the Ori ship it looked like a 50x smaller.

I don't see how they can defeat the Ori ships without using the Orion. That would take them out sharpish.

I reckon an Asguard fleet could take them out pretty quickly as well, pity they sent 1 ship.

I dont think the Wraith would do anything to the Orii anyway they only beat the ancients becuase of numbers, technologically they aint all that.

I rekon the ancients are def gonna step in at same point, they have covered our existance for a long time, so something gonna happen.

But its all speculation until we see it

i read the furlings may be seen in S10

and we kinda are the 2nd generation of the Ancients aren't we?

I think thats how its going to pan out, sort of indicated in the 5th race and more recently the amount of cooperation the Asguard have given. I don't think the Ori would hold up too well against a proper Asguard fleet. The ship you see at the end of Season 9 is a science vessel and not a Daniel Jackson class warship, and that took a lot more punishment than anything else out there plus it supposedly escaped. But then the Asguard probably don't have all that many ships left.

I imagine that the Ori ships are powerful enough to take out whats in our galaxy, but would have a tough fight against the ancients or any of the rest of the old races, otherwise how would we win in season 10?

I think your underestimating the Orii technological powers, none of those 4 ships took a scratch from the tonnes we had firing at it, not even the Asgard ship penetrated there shields, remeber the Turret gun the Orii gave to that planet that destroyed promethus, that was tiny and we couldnt penetrate it.

Yes but our weapons are rubbish. Theres not a single firefight that any of the earth ships have been in where those guns had an effect. The only ships we destroyed was done by beaming nukes onto them.

We don't know how the Orii ships fared because there was no concentrated fire at any single ship which meant that it would be harder to destroy one. For all we know the commander of one of those ships was screaming 'Shields down to 25%'

I don't like the fact that they keep destroying earth ships. It seems to have lost its effect now, they have done it every time they have got a space ship, now its just expected.

The problem is with our ships is we fire rail guns and rockets.... where everyone else has cool Laser and Photon Torpedoes! lol

Its mentioned in the season 10 spoilers that the Ori are going to go war with the ancients as well as the non believers, surely the ancients will have to get involved to stop themselves being wiped out, and surely they realise that this needs to be sooner rather than later or the Ori will become too powerful for them to do anything at all?

I still reckon a proper Asguard fleet could take them, theres only 4 of them and the Asguard are almost on a level with the ancients technology wise. Plus despite them having the power of the Ori the ships are still ships.
