Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis *** Spoilers likely ***

Im sorry dude, i just dont agree the Asgard could take em! hehe.

At the end of the day they couldnt handle the replicaters, it took an ancient weapon to do that.

I think bar the Ancients the Ori will easily wipe us out, if the Azgard were confident in taking them they would sent some proper ships there rather then load a dozen go in to get wiped out.

The replicators beat them because they took them on their ships were they were able to take all of the asguard technology. Had they been discovered by the Jaffa then they wouldn't have lasted that long.

The asguard only sent 1 science vessel because there was not a whole lot of time that passed between the discovery of the supergate and the battle that occurred, we have seen before how long it takes them to send ships out to help. Plus its probable that the 40 or so ships that were there would be able to handle anything that came out. They suffered by underestimating their enemy in that situation.

Why didn't they just put something in the gate to stop the wormhole forming?

They already tried to destroy it, without any luck.

Which is why Carter went down to modifiy it so they could dial out first...no quick enough though.

But i still disagree Mr M0T i think the Ori would rape the Azgard

Oh and only the russian ship gets destroyed not the odessey
Can't have been, Mitchell & Daniel were on the Russian ship, plus I don't think they'd write out the russian element so quickly after they gained their own ship.

I could have sworn that in the last few seconds of that episode I saw the other earth ship get destroyed, my mum thought she saw it too.
Just checked, near the top of the screen as the Ori ships fly past having just destroyed the Odyssey? It's a Goa'uld ship.

Was quite an exciting end to the season - going back to the good old days of battle season finales. Very enjoyable episode.

One thing that confused me (sorry if it has been written), is that in the episode where we first see the lucian alliance's fleet of ships - there are a huge number of them.

In the finale however, the alliance only send a handful (4 motherships?) of their ships to aid the attack on the Ori foothold. I would have imagined they would have sent the majority of their fleet? This didn't ring realistic to me.

If the former ships of the system lords are out there in our galaxy, we should have seen them all there really...

Also - were there any dents made to the Ori ships? It didn't look like it.

Anyone else think the Ori ships look like the Nibus from Futurama? :D

I bet the Ori ships are powered by ZPMs and they get a team abord one and nick some. Enough to power the Outpost, Atlantis and the x303s.

I really enjoyed season 9 of SG-1 and season 2 of Atlantis. From what I've read about season 3 of Atlantis I think the third episode is going to rock...new enemy ;)

The sg1/sga cross over is also going to be excellent!

Nothing I can really add that hasnt been mentioned already. Looking forward the next series of both shows but I'm more interested in BSG these days.

I thought that lol!

IMO The season finale was a bit naff really. Why didn't the alliance ships move about. It just seemed like they stood still waiting to be shot.

Mind you I have found it hard to get into this series of SG1. Took a bit far with the ori stuff.

See last weeks' atlantis "Inferno". It's a ship like the Aurora.

It is the Aurora's sister ship.

That was a bit of a dissapointing finale in my opinion (Atlantis).

Any estimates on how long it will take the wraith hive ships to get to Earth? the only real threat to earth is that we shall be war'ing the Ori and the Wraith in the Milky Way galaxy simultaneously. Surely even if we managed to get 1 Asgard ship to aid our handful of ships in the protection of Earth, those 2 Hive ships will say bye bye.

iirc Wraith ships dont have hypersace tech do they? and travel a lot slower, so it would take a fairly long time, but they'd hibernate the journey?

What is that other galaxy called, is that where atlantis, ori, and wraith is?

Why aren't the wraith and ori killing eachoter etc?

They probably have some ingenius plan. Travelling to the closest planet with a gate within the Milky Way, then having some ingenius way of bypassing our Iris and gating to Earth.

the wraith downloaded the info from atlantis on hyper drives and the location + they have McKay.

* and the russian ship was rushed into completion hence it not being fully 100% and why it was destroyed , so what if SG1 was on there the Asgard most likely beamed them aboard just before it blew up like they always do :p which leads me to believe that is the reason you see the asgard beam on board before the battle showing that they can beam in and out whne they feel like it even when shields are up incase people moan about "well how did they get by our sheilds"
