Starlink - anyone using it?

Standby is intended to be Standby only, it is not intended to be use actively. Their terms to state this, if left in standby for months and months, they can deactivate the unit.

Service Restricted | Moving Too Fast

We received an alert from your Starlink on service line indicating it is moving too fast for your service plan.

Starlink plans support in-motion use up to these maximum speeds:

  • Residential: Stationary use only at fixed, registered addresses
  • Roam: Up to 100 mph (160 km/h)
  • Local and Global Priority: Up to 100 mph (160 km/h)
  • (New) Aviation 300MPH: Up to 300 mph (482 km/h)
  • (New) Aviation 450MPH: Up to 450 mph (724 km/h)
To resume service, reduce your speed below the limit for your plan. For Residential plans, return to your registered service address. Learn more about in-motion use here.

Note: Pausing service with Standby Mode is not intended for in-motion use.

Speeds are via region and time of day. If you are using the Mini you are not likely to see the fastest speeds but the GEN2 and GEN3 dish can hit the 300/400Mbps mark, if the region allows etc.
