Start my RAF Basic Training Tomorrow.

Hey folks!

On my first weekend off now so Ive popped up home to pick up some bits and pieces.

So far Im loving it. made some great friends and the daily fitness is doing me a world of good :)

If anyone is considering it, go for it. Wish Id done this when I was 17 and not 24/25 :)

So are you room leader? :p

The 2nd bedspace on the left from the bottom end was mine! Room 5 ***! :D

(You will know which is my locker cause the shelves in the civvi locker are held up with string and cable ties.) :p

Glad you are enjoying it, I hope your drill check/day 21 goes well. :)

You will notice one thing about BB 12 is the water there is shocking and the water always runs out at the worst times. :\

It will be nice to see you at Cosford when you pass out. :) I'll still be on holding flight. :\

If you see one of the officer's leather flight jackets lying around .......

Good that you're fitting in, don't let it go downhill and don't let your guard down in the showers. ;)

Best of luck for the duration.

Training has been great so far except Ive sprained my groin last week but its not getting the best chance to recover so they have sent me home for a week.

Im pretty devastated because it means I get reflighted and wont get to pass out with the great friends Ive made. But as they say "Your joining the RAF, not your flight"

Gonna have a nice chill out in the sun until next week when hopefully its eased off nicely by then. Its feeling better each day.

If anyone is considering joining the RAF or similar, go for it, Its changed my outlook on life even in the short 41 days ive been there.
