Love the way that article says "This is the first fixed-wing aircraft to be lost during Operation Iraqi Freedom, although helicopters have been lost." - er what about the Tornado that the US shot down?

To be pedantic, a Tornado isnt strictly fixed wing :)

Morning News:

F/A 18 and Black Hawk shot down over Iraq.

Advanced Infantry are now Only 6 Miles from Baghdad city Limits.

Marines are moving in to take Baghdad Airport.

Coalition are getting concerned by the lack of any resistance by the RG or any other militia.

Cold it be a trap?

Very foggy this morning!

News from late last night:

2335: Dubai's Al-Arabiya television reports that terrestrial television broadcasting has stopped in Iraq following bombing. Satellite television remains on air.

2257: A convoy of trucks crosses the Turkish-Iraqi border carrying military equipment for US forces, the second such shipment in as many nights.

Its a bit like a calm before the storm.

I just feel it has been a bit too easy for us to get near Baghdad.

Then again, they know more than we do, Special Forces etc etc.
