They're not supposed to have Scud as far as I know. The kids were probably used as human shields. Once the war gets under way no doubt we'll find Chems. The big fun, Shock'n'Awe, should start tonight. Saddam wants to discredit the USA in the eyes of the Eastern world. He'd certainly use kids as sheilds, it wouldn't bother him.

iirc, he is not allowed missiles that breach his borders. ie, he is allowed them for defensive use inside Iraq's border.

Scuds have a much larger range than inside his borders, and are therefore banned. He also said he destruyed them all.

iirc, he is not allowed missiles that breach his borders. ie, he is allowed them for defensive use inside Iraq's border.

Scuds have a much larger range than inside his borders, and are therefore banned. He also said he destruyed them all.

Breach his borders from where?

If he has a man with a popgun standing on the border he would breach that rule.

Its a distance thing his missiles are not aloowed to fly further than so many miles Cant remember the number though.

I thinks scuds exceed this total.

Any hoo its a victoy for the US/UK/etc before we have properly started the attack. If he has lied about this what else will he lie about?

If he has I would assume America would not hesitate to broadcast it globally then begin their full scale attack campaign to insure the world knows they are the defenders of the innocent.

Wrong he was limited to weapons with a range of 150Km. Scuds have a range of 300Km and the various Iraqi modified versions have ranges upto 900Km. The varient most often reported as still being in the Iraqi arsenal is the Al Hussein version with a range of 600Km.
