I dont hold out much hope, sites like CDkeys and Kinguin have 'normal' prices all year round which beat Steam prices in sales. But maybe I will be pleasantly surprised.

But I doubt it.

Unlikely to pick anything up. Steam sales are not fun like they used to be. It used to be fun logging in a couple of times a day to see flash sales or today's deal. There were big publisher catalogue of games at decent prices.

Now every game you see on the first look is what you get. How boring is that. Not only that, the sale price is not as cheap as it used to be. The sale price usually is the price you could have purchased the game from cdkeys.com months before in many cases.

Before I would pick up a few games every time that were the type "I'm sure I'll play this some day". Not the case anymore sadly :(

Yep, CD key sites killed Steam Sales for me. They genuinely used to be good. I remember buying CoD 1, 2,MW, WaW and MW2 for £21. That was an insane bundle.

Would be lucky to get any for £15 these days

Really itching to play Dark Souls 3 after just finishing 2. Already been thinking of the build I'll go for this time (rapier/estoc dexy-pokey I think - after going sorcery for 1 and 2, but then speccing into str/dex towards the end of 2 and killing the final few bosses with a rapier). Hoping for a nice reduction tomorrow...

You're absolutely right, steam just can't compete with key sites any more.

But (and I'm not 100% sure this is right) it always seems to me like the Steam sales drive reduction on other sites? Like when a game is reduced on Steam it is often also reduced on key sites straight away or within a day or so? Not sure if this is just confirmation bias on my part but I do get that impression.

Hoping for some 30/50% deals on the top priced vr games.

30 odd quid is hard to shake a stick at, 20 something not so much.
