Wow. Is it THAT hard?
Wow, for the condescending tone, and it must be as what you show has nothing to do with the sections I asked to hide.
But thanks for the heat warming and helpful input

Wow. Is it THAT hard?
Overall I think it looks nice and it is nice to have some customisation! Must be such a headache to create a store front that caters for all gamers which also doesn't distract form the main object of the store, make money![]()
That is true.
One thing I think they have missed an opportunity for (Or maybe it is something they are prepping)..
Is the ability for each category as a widget for which you could move around the store page/delete as you wish? Assuming was done in such a way not to conflict with commercial interests. As in, a New Releases widget is essential from a commercial point of view and should not be allowed to be deleted.

Agreed. Don't enjoy indie games. Very little depth. Gimme CS:GO, Football manager and Tropico please.
Actually, indie games don't tend to offer much breadth - tend to be very tight & focused, where AAAs usually provide a much broader experience to aid their appeal to a wider audience.
Depth is debatable, and varies a lot between titles. Dwarf Fortress is very deep indeed, for example.
I'm not convinced that Tropico isn't an indie game anyway, though (?)
+1 most are not worth playing for free!Just still too many bedroom-made indie games. Have they categorised those so i can ignore them all?

Maybe, but I havent, and they're not the kind of games I enjoy. I'm perfectly entitled to that!
You are entitled to that, but your Steam profile shows you played Torchlight for 54 hours...?
That is "Indie".
Alright, im not going to argue semantics with you, you know damn well what i'm talking about as you already pulled me up on my use of "bedroom-made". Torchlight made by a breakaway team of Blizzard developers is not in the same category and you know it, so dont play the fool.

But when people use "indie" in the way the guy did, that's exactly what they're doing. It either shows he doesn't actually get what "indie" means, or he hasn't really thought about it properly.
Oh I get what it means. I went through the STEAM indie category, and found 5 games tops I would be interested in playing. I have played my fair share of indie games, and I have not enjoyed the vast majority of them.
That’s true so why have they just taken a 10 year step backwards? What a horrible badly design layout. Why is it so many websites no longer design for high resolutions? Fixed width UIs are crazy in today’s age of 2k and 4k resolutions. Over 50% of the screen is empty at my default resolutions and 75% of the screen empty if you run at 4k. That's a stupid design move. Who wants at tiny strip in the middle of the page? I bet not many.Steam needs bringing into 2014 as it is showing it's age, especially when you look at how far origin has come in the last 2 years.
