*** Steam Easter Weekend : Borderlands @ £14.99 ***

Great game, i bought it when it first came out, got lots of play from it. some of the dlc is great also.

well worth a purchase if you havent got it

DO NOT play this solo - its incredibly boring. I wouldn't even suggest playing it with randoms, due to the way the "pLvl vs mLvl" and quest system is worked out - it only really works if your the same level (or +/- 1).

HOWEVER - get 2-3 mates and its an absolute riot. I've just hit level 61 with a mate on Knoxx and really enjoyed it, we're hoping to get someone else involved and start from lvl1 with new characters.

So yeah, get a few people together, keep some chars back to only level when you're all on and it's cracking.

Didnt find it boring single player at all.

As mentioned the quests are cut and paste efforts.

You can't get all the quests all in one visit. Each time one is completed it opened a new quest that is based in an old area you exhausted previously. This caused us to just dump the quests and race to the end as you spent more time travelling across completed content just to get a specific item. With the end reward being worse the rewards from crates.

Tempted but I don't think I'll bother this time, I've got too many unplayed games from the winter holiday sales still.

bit disappointed that my 5850 struggles with this fully maxed out at 1920x1080

I didn't think it was a hard to run game. I'll have to see how my GTX 260 copes with it. Oh well, it's an excuse to upgrade i suppose.

Shouldnt do, mine runs with everything on high and get a constant 60fps with vsync on.

Theres a few tweaks you can use if you download the borderlands tweak pack, lets you put on a few nice effects and get rid of mouse smoothing and stuff like that.

Id be up for the group buy - I seem to collect games nowadays :p
ps3ud0
Anyone know if you can move retail saves over to steam?
might be lookin for a 4 pack if possible to do that
I'm in for this if we get a 4th

if anyone wants to play/start again lets get it sorted so we can play in one group
I'd certainly be looking to find someone else to play, as all my gaming friends are on the 360
