Only real problem I've ever had is my favourites going, and this has happened numerious times. Aside from that I've not had a problem (oh there was my HL2:EP1 preload not working and having to redownload but meh).

steam has released a update for this and its now fixed.

I personally never got it but members of my clan did

Yeah its a pain in the bum but also in those years this is the first time i can remember a major issue like that last night...

IS it all working again now ??? 2nd october Midday.

Favourites works for me, so does friends, so does history.. ive generally had a good time with steam

I agree with most peeps on here that when steam does work its a good platform, though it does seem to have its fair few problems.

Recently have been getting lots of Server Verification errors on 1.6 servers and got the you dont not own this game message once but just retry a few times and i'll generally get in.

Does Friends not work for people on here then ?
it's been working for me quite happily for the last 2-3 months, occasionally it crashes out but haven't seen that in the last few weeks.

Steam doesn't work as well as XFire but when yo compare it to something like the BF2 GUI it is a work of art.
