Shouldn't this thread be in the console forum?
Game creators who have tried Valve's unusual new game controller tell Kotaku that the device holds a lot of promise. But make no mistake, they also say it feels pretty different from what we're used to
...
"It's familiar enough to be accessible (I believe they tried less conventional designs before they went with a form factor similar to existing gamepads), but much more precise for (say) anything WASD+mouse."
Some impressions from developers on the controller here.
wow that controller sucks![]()
Strictly speaking probably yes...Shouldn't this thread be in the console forum?
People complaining that this is just a cash cow for Valve, when they want them to release Half-Life 3, one of the most anticipated games of all time instead? Wow, just wow.
Pot, meet kettle.
Valve are going to take a financial bath here all they are doing is offering up a competitor to PS4/XB1/X360 etc etc why not just partner with Dell's Alienware X51 to begin with would have saved them so much money

I'm perfectly comfortable sitting at a desk with a keyboard and mouse. Are gamers willing to let go of Windows, 360 controllers, Keyboard /Mouse, Direct X and go with Linux, one controller, a big screen TV and a third party supplied box to host or stream their games onto?
Are you really suggesting a partnership with Alienware? The most overpriced 'gaming' rigs around???
I was able to play Meat Boy the way Meat Boy can be played on an advanced level (and I’m rusty at it).
I played through Spelunky and the controller worked great.

Class, I had to share this out to my friends![]()

Umm, no.
Although console owners who have always used a controller are happy with them, most PC gamers do not like using a controller for things like FPS or RTS. Valve are trying to come up with a solution, a different type of controller that offers us the precision we want. Its not the same as just using an XBox controller to play existing games.
Hopefully they can get it right.
