Just had a steamdeck off the wife any recommendations for steamdeck games I'm thinking of graveyard keeper at the moment satisfactory doesn't play well on it
That's nothing.
I shall forever look upon my account of shame.
The sad part is the games played should actually be much much lower. In the past I've used a program to farm cards, so that added a lot to the stats.
If you mean how do they find your steam profile from the screenshot - I found yours in 10 seconds via a search engine (and I could have just guessed the url).@throwaway4372 I have 2FA anyway. Out of curiosity, how do they obtain a profile from just an account name? Wouldn't they need to know at least the email address?
I do notice a slight difference to their stats and my own on Steam. They have 1,851 games owned, however, on Steam it shows 1,781, so I'm not sure where the others are coming from.Wow 5K is that like a lot of games or valuable items, cards etc
I've had this account a long time, settings have never changed other than adding 2FA when it became available, updating password every now and again. I use a password manager for every site, and use long passwords. So far I've never had any issues. If you mean how do they access your account - They'd try to find usernames/passwords/emails leaked from other sites if you re-used them. If you didn't ever re-use you survive. If you have 2fa authenticator you survive (you do).
I remember something a while back about steam usernames being part of the profile url and it being possible to change that, can't remember the details but it's worth looking into, you obvs don't want your username to be public.
Unfortunately steam is designed based on the username so they technically can't remove it entirely (and you can't change username), so we'll always have to be careful with steam security.
Edit: feels kinda creepy I can see your steam friends too, and your first name
Yeah if you're secured and happy with it then it's cool, my comment was more for people who might be at more risk then they're comfortable with without realising because of steam's default behaviour.Although I can't see much issue in having your account public if you have made sure to protect it.
My Profile of shame, 9K hours clocked and i only played less than half my games.
Where is it in the Steam app?
