With the debit card it reports card declined, with paypal it says "An unexpected error has occurred. Your purchase has not been completed".. Mmm, helpfull.

You tried deleting the .blob? Or ringing the bank for that matter, sounds like its your debit card thats the problem.

Not the bank mate as same thing happens when using Paypal as the funding source.

Ok...

Although it had said the Paypal transaction did not complete, I received a confirmation email and the game is in my account now.

Odd?

careful as using paypal can get your account suspended.
someone on here not long back had an issue with using paypal to pay for a game, only to have the steam account locked as the charge was reversed by paypal, id get in touch with steam support to see whats up and forget using paypal with steam

Nah, never had any problems before.

I had allready submitted a ticket telling them there was a problem so just updated the ticket when I saw the transaction had completed so should be OK.

The fact it was happening with both debit card and Paypal tells me it is not just a Paypal issue.

If I get my account suspended , it would be my first (I think) so will be a novelty, "In Gabe we trust"

Very unlikely I'd imagine. Once it strays past 75% off that's pretty much as low as it gets.

Nostaliga helps but the lighting and textures are better than half of today's stuff.

That is what I thought.

Will wait and see. Even if the Quake pack was on offer, the cost of that and the doom pack and the Wolfenstein stuff would still be more than £20.

Not going to happen. 85% off is a huge reduction.

Edit: Offer still stands if you need me to buy anything for you. Hopefully Steam get back to you soon.
