Steam Summer Sale 2016 set for 23rd June for two weeks

Since "confidential" means nothing to certain Steamworks developers, Steam Summer Sale will start on June 23 and will last two weeks.

This was also 'leaked' -

Anyone hanging on for something rather than buying it now? I've a couple of things I'd like to try and pick up if they pop up during the sale.

People still get excited for these?
They literally have 99% of the same games rotating in each sale.

Not exciting any more, they're all the same games and all the new games, I bought for cheap from CD key sites.

I will however, trade cards, as I want some profile levels & I made £7 last year.

Not so much for discounted games as most can be had the same price or cheaper on CD key sites. However I do enjoy when they do games*, and hunts.

Edit : Feel I should clarify : *games like the monster clicker and coal hunt.

Steam sales are great for indie games, which aren't really available cheaply away from Steam, aside from those that crop up in bundles. I usually pick up one or two.

AAAs you may as well buy from keysites on release, since most can be had for £20 anyway.

Yeah, I keep an eye on the steam sales. I have too many games at the moment, so I don't bother looking anywhere else, but I might pick up a cheap game in the sales.

MGS seems decent, so if that gets a decent cut, i'll buy

The thing that's killed the excitement for me is no more daily/flash deals. It was fun waiting to see what popped up each day.

Same day as the EU referendum. If we lose at least I'll be able to drown my sorrows with some cheap games

. There is some DLC I want to pick up for a specific game.

TW3 and FO4, the price has to be right though. Sub-tenner I'll think about, otherwise probably not.

steam is pretty bad for sales now.

cdkey sites often cheaper every day of the week.
