Their impact may have lessened significantly in recent years, what with the change to the sale's structure, and the rise of other online retailers, but the Steam Summer sale still warrants a thread of its own. If nothing else, we need a place for recommending hidden gems, as well as collectively bemoaning the fact that the hidden ARG was for a new hat rather than HL3.

Will probably end up buying a few games to add the long list of unplayed titles that were bought for when I get a round to upgrading my system. Something I keep putting off.

try it again a bit later, apparently it stopped working earlier today, then started working again,
il keep an eye on it and if it doesn't come back on then il remove my post with the offer

Went to the giveaway thread to say thanks for the heads up, but it seems it has been locked... So thanks for the heads up! I'll certainly be using that offer over the next week :D

Hoping for a decent deal on Dying Light - I've been admiring it from a far for a while :p

it might be over already mate unless you got in in time and saved the offer to your Paypal,
the offer went live yesterday and it was valid untill 5th of July or when £24k has been credited to people, which ever came sooner,
people are now saying it might be over :o

as people are saying its not working for them now and the maximum amount of redemptions might have been made, (£24k / 4.8k redemptions)
afaik it doesn't have to be used against 1 game, its just £5 back from Paypal when you spend £20 on Steam so as long as its 1 payment it'd be fine
