With regards to the Fallout debate, I do think New Vegas is the better game, but I love them both. And Fallout 3 was a great game before mods, they just greatly improved it.

New Vegas biggest strength is in its quests, which are incredibly intricate and often very complex. There are many different outcomes to even the smallest quests. Also, the faction system is a big plus. In FO3, you were Brotherhood vs Enclave, In NV you can join/oppose any of them. The one thing I do prefer about FO3 though is the environment....I would take Capital Wasteland over New Vegas I think.

Are they gonna do a "best of" sale tonight or not?

Don't think so. Unlike previous sales, I think they have learned not to give all the best deals on the last day. The community choice, deals of the day, and flash sales were as good as they were going to get.

^ This 100%. The capital wasteland seemed a much more interesting environment to me.

Good post, I totally agree. :)

Definitely.

Also, the "atmosphere" was better in Fallout 3. Hard to pin down, but it just "felt" more Fallout. I think that the radio station had a lot to do with it - the music was superior in FO3, and three-dog was a lot more interesting host.

Still, I agree - overall New Vegas is the superior game. The quests and faction alliances are key, and the weapons / equipment / enemies are more balanced. In FO3 you become more or less invincible at ~level 15+, with the exception of the few ridiculously over-powered enemies that were introduced with broken steel.

Yep thirded. If NV had come first I'm sure it would be better but while I lapped up Fallout 3 with New Vegas I got bored and stopped once I'd reached The Strip.

Well the problem I had over the weekend where I was locked out from purchase was sorted yesterday so I spent a little more :) but that IS it now for me and final spend comes in at about 270 quid :P and I still got 40 quid still in the Steam wallet

Prices are all over the place today. Last night The Witcher Enhanced was £1.72, now it is £4.19/40%off.

Jade Empire for £4.49 is not too bad, but I would have thought it might have a bit more off than that, has it been around for less?

For those people who have done these sort of sales before.. Do they ever do like ridiculous deals right at the end? Like for example Valve pack for £4.99?
