No compact view - no deal
I want steam to be as compact as possible, to have as small footprint as possible, to eat up as little resources as possible. So far this beta is a step into shatty direction in every single point, dammit.
has there been an update?Yes, but only since today. Wasn't doing it before.
Anyone else having this issue with the overlay?
This is what I was referring to. I don't understand people who keep moaning about an app that runs in MB's and prefer something that runs in KB. Thats fine if you have 512MB memory, I can understand it then, but most people on this forum have 4GB+. I have 8GB and now, unless my performance suffers badly, I don't care how big or small the app is as long as it's functional for my needs.

that should work... but is barely relevant to the threadRather than make an new thread I thought I might as well ask in here, I'm about to format my system and upgrade to windows7, instead of re-downloading everything I'd like to backup my steam folder, now I just want to confirm what I have to do, I backup the 'steamapps', install windows7, then install steam again, then move my 'steamapps' folder back across right ?
