Played the demo, was great - bought
Absolutely 100% spot on. It has a brilliant retro feel to it but the 2D ness of it means Braid outshines all the big, fancy 3D shoot 'em ups. Fantastic game. If only I could solve the puzzles. This for me is one of the most important games in recent years. It shows that smart thinking in 2D gameplay can deliver far more than the majority of 3D games out there, it also showed a handful of people with a great idea and a hell of a lot of talent can achieve so much more than many of the largest studios.

Yep this is what I'm doing. I've played world 3 thru 3 times now, and there's just 1 jigsaw piece I cannot get! I'm determined to do it without a guide, as I feel a guide would totally spoil this game.I know this is hard, but try your best to never use a guide with this game, the feeling of elation when you finally solve a puzzle is immeasurable. Some of them really are very, very clever.
Yeah haven't done that. Yet.I know this is hard, but try your best to never use a guide with this game, the feeling of elation when you finally solve a puzzle is immeasurable. Some of them really are very, very clever.

Gameplay from such games & their developers needs to be supported.
looks can be deceiving.
Especially the Pink bits . . . .
Fantastic game, Kudos to Valve / Steam for having it up and on Steam. I've always been impressed at the level Steam will support independent game developers.
