Hi chaps.

I thought I would just share my recent experience of having to RMA my Steelseries XAI mouse. The mouse itself has been an absolute pleasure to use since I purchased it from OcUK on 2 Jul, 2010. It was showing plenty of signs of wear on the outside but has been working perfectly until about a month ago, when the trigger button (left) started playing up. Basically every five or so clicks it was not registering, which is a pain in the backside during BF3. It also sounded a little 'dull' when pressed, if you know what I mean. I thought something might have got under the button, but without being able to take it apart, I was stuck as to what to do. I tried compressed air and everything but nothing worked.

So I contacted Steelseries using their very easy to use RMA form, which is much like the customer services section on this forum. I raised the request on the 14th April and just asked if there was anything I could do to fix the problem. About 6 hours later I got a response to attach a copy of the receipt, which I did. This took me a few days as I was a little busy so I emailed it on the 18th. About an hour later I got an RMA number and details of where to send it in Denmark, which only cost a couple of quid as I sent it by snail mail. :o

I got an update as soon as it was received and a day later they have confirmed they are sending me a new one.

It has been a pleasure to be honest and much like Logitech, they have a first class service. I was half expecting them to fix it or tell me there is really nothing wrong with it (always a fear) but they didn't.

I am glad I also have a 6G V2 as well now in case anything goes wrong with that (though I doubt it as it is built like a tank).

Just thought I would let you guys know if you are looking at any of their products as I really think that they are a first class company.

tl;dr

Steelseries rock! :)

SteelSeries customer support is fantastic. I bought a 7G and an Ikari laser, but the 7G had a small issue with the space bar, which got worse over the course of a few months. I contacted SteelSeries, and as above, had speedy, polite and helpful replies. Sent them the keyboard (cost me £22, so pray you never have a problem with it! :D) and had one back within a week.

Then, to top it all off, they sent me an e-mail saying they'd sent the replacement. I assumed it was an error, but another keyboard showed up about a week later. I e-mailed SteelSeries about it, and they just sent me a reply saying it was their bad, and to just keep it and enjoy the free keyboard

Indeed I recently bought the Steelseries Sensei, and have never been happier with a mouse for build quality etc.... will definitely be using them when I come to purchase a new keyboard!

I also have a XAI mouse and love it, thanks for the post is reassuring that if anything were to happen to it down the line I will know what to do - cheers :)
