Hi chaps.
I thought I would just share my recent experience of having to RMA my Steelseries XAI mouse. The mouse itself has been an absolute pleasure to use since I purchased it from OcUK on 2 Jul, 2010. It was showing plenty of signs of wear on the outside but has been working perfectly until about a month ago, when the trigger button (left) started playing up. Basically every five or so clicks it was not registering, which is a pain in the backside during BF3. It also sounded a little 'dull' when pressed, if you know what I mean. I thought something might have got under the button, but without being able to take it apart, I was stuck as to what to do. I tried compressed air and everything but nothing worked.
So I contacted Steelseries using their very easy to use RMA form, which is much like the customer services section on this forum. I raised the request on the 14th April and just asked if there was anything I could do to fix the problem. About 6 hours later I got a response to attach a copy of the receipt, which I did. This took me a few days as I was a little busy so I emailed it on the 18th. About an hour later I got an RMA number and details of where to send it in Denmark, which only cost a couple of quid as I sent it by snail mail.
I got an update as soon as it was received and a day later they have confirmed they are sending me a new one.
It has been a pleasure to be honest and much like Logitech, they have a first class service. I was half expecting them to fix it or tell me there is really nothing wrong with it (always a fear) but they didn't.
I am glad I also have a 6G V2 as well now in case anything goes wrong with that (though I doubt it as it is built like a tank).
Just thought I would let you guys know if you are looking at any of their products as I really think that they are a first class company.
tl;dr
Steelseries rock!
