Steep - Skiing, Snowboarding and that nutty flying with wings thingy game

for me so far this is my summary:

Pros:

Love the setting, nice large game area with no loading.
The wingsuit and paragliding provide some nice alternate gameplay, didn't expect to enjoy them as much as I am
Music is good
Customization options are good
Nice variety of events and challenges
Hard challenges are really hard
Exploration system adds an interesting element

Cons:

Kind of hard to tell on the map which events you haven't done yet
Trick system is...kind of bad at the moment. Only one grab (I think?) and it doesn't even tell you what trick you do when you land (IE 720) This could do with changes
No grinding
Exploration system I think could do with letting you discover points from slightly further away
On foot is slow, while it's realistic I think it could be a little bit faster to improve QOL.
Music is good but it's annoying that it restarts when you restart an event./ If you're trying a hard event it gets very annoying quickly.
Map needs a filter, to only show events that you haven't done, events that you've bronzed etc.
Controls feel a little floaty occasionally, like sometimes you'll clip a rock and just stop and sometimes you'll continue like nothing has happened
I don't really understand the stamina/health bar system. Sometimes you'll land a jump and it'll go down loads, other times you'll bounce over rocks and it will barely go down.

I agree - good stuff but whilst i don't want a crazy Tony Hawk style game - the tricks need improving.

One grab is poor, basically 4 tricks at the moment, no mention of what you pulled when you land it and also it's a bit erratic when you pop off the lip and go for a trick but nothing happens.

I like the wingsuit but not the paragliding. Get some crazy flights in the wingsuit skimming the ground/trees etc.

Tricks need improving for sure

yeah i like it, bit of dudebro and soicalmediay hints too much, but feels decent
oh and space bay is _ wide u looking key. went splat when it came up press _ for parachute

Played an hour or so of this and it's well polished.

But not sure about the control mechanics. Using an xbone pad, the sticks are too sensitive. I had imagined there would be a range of tilt to increase the carve rate.

I'll have another bash tomorrow but I can't see my buying.

Just picked this up in the stream crimbo sale and overall very impressed BUT.... Tricks?

So it feels like when riding a snowboard you hold the Ollie button down and release when at the lip with the l-stick either left or right and that's it?
Seems like you have zero control of your rider once you've taken off and everything is based on the timing of your initial take off?
Hopefully I'm wrong here but having no control after takeoff is pretty rubbish!
