Well this is a moment I've waited for for some time. To be able to say, this is my scooby turbo. It's a 2004 Impreza WRX, with 30k on the clock, 1 owner, FSH etc. It's generally in very good condition, it sure looks a hell of a lot better now it's been cleaned, but I think a bit of paint correction is on the cards.

First mods I intend to carry out, are debadging, and detango'ing.

So far I've done around 300 miles in it, and it's great, I love it. I'm not very confident with chucking it into corners yet, but that will come with time. It goes very well, and can stop too. But it needs to be decatted to allow earlier spool up me thinks, along with a remap and it should be nice and torquey with more low down pull.

Anyways, I'll stop jabbering, here's the pics, I hope you like it, I welcome comments good and bad.

Great to see someone acheive a dream, congratulations. I prefer the look of your old one but who cares - you seem well chuffed. Look after it :D

Whats the BHP difference?

Over 100bhp :D :D

Cost a smidgen under 10k, but well worth it if you ask me. I was going to do the classic with mods thing.. but I use the car everyday and I didn't think a classic would last. Plus.. I think it looks lush.

My old one looks great still I think, I currently own and insure 2 scoobys, so much fun :D

The insurance on the old one finishes this month. It's just that currently there are both insured.
What company is covering you on the new one? I struggled to find places to cover me on the rover, most wanted me to be 25 and almost all to be 21. :)

Going to get a PC or something to keep the swirlys away from that black paint?

Wow

That's one hell of an upgrade, and at your age too! Well done on such a fantastic purchase!

I look forward to seeing it at a future meet.

You must get rid of the worlds crappest spoiler and put an STI wing on there sharpish. Please. It needs it.

Aside from that, very tidy and oh so black :)

Both lovely lookin motors there, the new one makes the old look so dated! and it looks great in black  . 1 Q, how the hell do you insure scoobys at 19 living in Brum? The cheapest quote i can get on an old skool turbo is £1600 and thats at 22 with 4 years NCB!(in the 3rd higest postcode according to the sticky) must be costing an arm and a leg!
