it had been modded (not by him, but the person he bought it off)

Converting it to twin turbo is the most pointless mod ever. You can get more power by just upgrading the single turbo.

I think your friend is talking BS :)

(I'm assuming he has an Impreza and not a Legacy BTW)

Im unsure then, i give him a txt and find out. Unless he ment he had a turbo and the boost control :\... but then he would have said that and not twin turbo. I'll find out for you.

As probably said before, hes probably fitted a twin scroll turbo.

Damn, congrats on getting such a fine motor at your age. I dread to think what illegal things you must have done to raise money to buy/insure/run that thing. Also, who the hell are you insured with!? I'm 19 in the lowest crime zone there is and no one will touch me on a 200SX!

I'm insured with a Specialist performance car company, they only went with me due to having 2 years NCB with an Impreza Sport. So honestly, just do what I did and fill in loads of those online quoter things, and get a phone call every hour with better and better prices :D

I did nothing illegal to get this car btw, it's just hard work :)

Thanks again for all the comments, it's nice to know people like it hehe :D

Edd, if and when I do mod it I will be hitting the breathing/remap and handling first, before I go into getting more power out of it. There's no point in me spending a lot of money on it, I just need to enjoy what I have for the time being. Styling will a bit of a taboo, ideally I just want alloys, and a front lip of some sort. But I'm yet to decide.

Thanks again,

Kosta

Wow very nice mate, really like the newish impreza's. :) Whats always put me off them is the disproportionate insurance they seem to command over other fast cars.

hehe I was just thinking "how the **** does he know about that" I think I was drunk when I posted about it ;)

Yea, Will had a look at it at the RR day and said they must have done something when removing/fitting the doorcard after the colour coding so I removed the door card and found the they had knocked one of the metal rods out of its hole that connects the handle, so its all sorted now ta :D

we're not turning OcUK detectives on you, we're all thinking the same thing. If they can insure you on a WRX at 19, what will they insure me on. We can all play the same game about playing companies against each other.

Its not that difficult to insure something if its your only expense.

How much do you think i had to pay to insure a a 4 year old legacy turbo at 20 ten years ago?

Exactly, I'm just guessing here but I assume he lives at home, and probably has little other out goings other than his car.

It's quite easy for a young lad to save for and run a performance car, even on minimum wage if they've got no other out goings, and a lot of people who love cars would have no problem spending most or all of their money on one.

Congratulations on the scooby, you must be ******* over the moon, no one would be ashamed of a car like that.

Well done.

Probably less than I'm paying for my punto lol, which is pretty much my only expense too and its not straining my finances at all, but its an odd thought spending loads of cash and not getting anything physical for it! lol

Seriously nice car mate, and defo the best looker since the classics, my childhood dream car!!
