Given how costly SSD's are, could anybody recommend me a fast SSHD of between 1tb and 2 Tbytes please. I will be looking to increase boot time along with installing Photoshop CC, Lightroom, Bryce and Vue D' Esprit.

I'll suggest what I do every time - buy a 256GB SSD or 512GB (both aren't that expensive for the performance) and have a separate 1TB+ standard mechanical drive. The 500GB Samsung 850 Evo drives are only £120 now

Best of both worlds. All your applications/OS will be nice and quick and you'll have the space on another drive.

Yup. SSD for boot (256 or 512GB) and HDD for storage. I'm a little disappointed with my 1TB 850 EVO, it's slower to boot and launch applications than my previous MX100, though I don't have the rapid option enabled.

SSHD can be a good choice for a laptop when you only have room for one drive, but in a desktop, two drives all the way.
